Former Letterkenny Rovers player Zach Gorman scored twice as the Finn Harps U19s got back to winning ways after overcoming bottom of the table Longford Town 5-2 in Ballybofey on Saturday.
Keelin McGill headed Joe Boyle’s side in front from a Corrie Lee Bogan. Gorman and Stephen Doherty stretched that advantage out to 3-0 by half-time.
Gorman then got his second of the game before the visitors pulled a goal back. Zac Brolly got the fifth Harps goal and Longford responded with a late consolation effort.
The result keeps Joe Boyle’s boys well in contention to reach the knockout stages of the competition.
