DRUMOGHILL FC from the Donegal League and the Inishowen League’s Culdaff FC both progressed in the Ulster Junior Cup.

Division Two side Ballybofey United managed to hold the reigning Premier Division Champions scoreless until the interval in this Ulster Junior Cup encounter.
Drumoghill are a well drilled outfit again this term and eventually they got the upper hand to a resolute Ballybofey United. Two goal from Jaydee Alawiye were the difference between the sides.

In tricky but good conditions the visitors had the first effort when Eamon Cannon fired a twenty yards free well over.
Culdaff responded and after a good move Gary Collins saw his effort deflected wide before brilliant trickery by Brendan McLaughlin inside the area saw him hit the post from an acute angle.
Glenea forced a corner and a Sean Coll header was well tipped over by Darragh McLaughlin in the home goal.Culdaff were unlucky on 29 minutes after Conor farren spread the ball wide for Josh Conlon whose low effort struck the outside of the post.
Culdaff continued to press and Paul McLaughlin saw a free turned round the post by Stephen McClafferty while on the stroke of half time McClafferty gathered a Brendan McLaughlin effort at the second attempt. The home side started the second period well and Gary Collins flashed an effort just wide from twenty yards.
Glenea had their best chance on 51 minutes when a defensive header sent Martin Ferry inside the area on the right hand side but his low effort was well saved by McLaughlin. Culdaff broke the deadlock on the hour mark when Brendan McLaughlin’s free kick found Dillon Ruddy who forced the ball home from eight yards at the back post.
They then doubled their lead on 68 minutes when John McFeely’s corner was headed home by Brendan McLaughlin. McLaughlin then had a free tipped over by McClafferty and from the corner Coyle headed over. On 78 minutes Coyle flicked on for McLaughlin to run from half way and round McClafferty to slot home. They then completed the scoring when Collins collected a pass from McLaughlin and fired a superb twenty yards effort low to the left hand corner.
