Premier Division champions Castlefin Celtic dominated proceedings at last night’s Donegal Junior League awards night.
On a night when Castlefin were officially presented with the trophy and their medals (pictured above), influential midfielder Raymond Foy was named as the Player of the Year and, completing an excellent season, Kieran Brennan took home the Manager of the Year gong.
A huge crowd packed into the Radisson Hotel as the League toasted another fine campaign with the various League and Cup winners all receiving their medals.
It was a night to reflect, too, with Drumkeen United’s team of 1993/94 honoured as the 25-year team.
A number of lifetime achievement awards were presented too, with Joe Duffy, Dessie Kelly, Paddy Brogan, Margaret Duddy and Ernie Steele picking those up.
Kerrykeel 71 FC, who were the Division Two champions, received the Fair Play Award, while Michael Sweeney was the Division Two top scorer and Sean Little the Player of the Year in that Division, making it a night to remember for Hughie Walsh’s team.
