A DONEGAL man found himself up against Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber in a soccer match last weekend in Los Angeles.
Kevin Gillespie from Ballybofey plays in the Playa Champions La Liga with Celtics FC.
Before their game against Churchome, a text arrived informing the Celtics players of Bieber’s attendance.
“They just told us not to be wrecking his head,” Kevin, affectionately known as ‘Elvis’ to his friends, said.
The 27-year-old singer is a big sports fan.
Churchome is a church run by popular pastors Judah and Chelsea Smith in Kirkland, Washington and Judah is often touted as Bieber’s choice pastor.
Bieber’s team might have topped the charts with a 6-5 win, but he didn’t hit the high notes.
“it was nice sending him to the shops,” Kevin laughed.
Bieber wasn’t quite ‘all shook up’, as he shook hands with ‘Elvis’ before leaving, accompanied his his security guard.
