Finn Harps’ hopes of pipping UCD to the First Division title were dashed by the Students on Friday night.
Harps needed to win in Belfield to keep the title race alive.
And when Keith Cowan fired Harps in front in the 80th minute, the dream was very much alive.
However, the lead lasted only two minutes as Conor Davis capitalised on slack Harps defending to fire in a goal that crowned UCD as First Division champions.
