Jason Quigley says the ‘passion and pride’ from his supporters in Donegal is driving him to further glory in the professional ranks.
At a homecoming last night at the Finn Valley Centre, Quigley – who is based in Los Angeles – spoke of the importance of the support from home.
“I’m a long way from home in LA and this is what drives me on – coming back to Donegal and the North-West like this.” Quigley, pictured above with Paul McCloskey and Henry Coyle, said.
“My roots are so important to me. I’m going to take this passion and pride back to LA again. I have a great team around me, a solid team and a solid base.”
Quigley – unbeaten in 13 pro fights – is back home with the NABF middleweight belt he won in March, but said: “I’ll never be pleased ’till I have all the belts.
“This is the fist stage of my career and the first stepping stone. This is only the start.”
