Joe Duffy fell to a second UFC loss tonight as James Vick stopped the Donegal man just before the end of the second round.
In a titanic battle of two rising lightweights and two men fighting for the first time since penning new UFC deals, it was Vick who emerged with the possibilities opening up in front of him.
Vick felled Duffy with a cracking uppercut and when he followed it up with a range of punches on the ground, referee Todd Anderson called a halt.
There was just ONE second to go in the second round when the fight was stopped, giving Duffy a first stoppage defeat and dropping his overall MMA record to 17-3 (4-2, UFC)
