Donegal chalked up their first Allianz League win of the year on Sunday thanks to a 1-15 to 3-7 win over Kildare in Ballyshannon.
Despite shipping three goals over the 70 minutes, Donegal managed to squeeze home against 14-man Kildare, who had captain Eoin Doyle sent off after only 16 minutes.
It took a fortunate late goal from Ryan McHugh, whose shot looped over the Kildare goalkeeper, to seal the deal for Declan Bonner’s Donegal.
