ERIKA HANNA, the Naomh Muire captain, could hardly have thought about days like this when she was carried up the O’Donnell Park steps last month.
Hanna injured an ankle in the closing stages of Naomh Muire’s Donegal junior final win over Naomh Columba and had to be helped to the presentation area.
But now, Hanna and her team-mates will walk out for the Ulster Junior final and a meeting with Tyrone’s Edendork at Killyclogher on Sunday.
“There’s a real buzz about the club,” Hanna told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.
“Everyone is on a high. We didn’t make it easy for ourselves, but we all worked well together. We know the talent is there and it’s been building for a good few years.”
“Winning the county was the main one. We were just fed up losing. We knew that the potential was there and we put the work in to get it.”
