DONEGAL’S Brendan McCole captained DCU to Sigerson Cup glory last night.
St Naul’s man McCole led DCU to a 0-14 to 0-7 win over IT Carlow in the final played at the DCU Sportsground.
St Eunan’s Conor Morrison was also on the starting XV for DCU, with David Garland hotting four points and Evan Comerford landing three.
Paddy Christie’s DCU won by seven points to win the prestigious competition for the fifth time.
Dungloe’s Mark Curran and Sean MacCumhaills’ Nathan Gavigan came on as substitutes for DCU.
McCole received the Sigerson Cup from the GAA President, John Horan, afterwards.
