STEVEN WARD WAS THE winner of last night’s Donoughmore National School 5k in Liscooly.

Ward led home the 306-strong field in a time of 16 minutes and 52 seconds.

Shane Gallagher from Finn Valley AC was second in 17:13 with Gareth Kerrigan of Milford third in 18:07.

Finn Valley’s Adam McGranaghan and Jordan Reid completed the top five.

Noreen McGettigan at 22:12 was the quickest woman home.
