FINN HARPS WERE knocked out of the EA Sports Cup last night at Eamonn Deacy Park.
The side managed by Ollie Horgan put in a battling performance against Galway United away from home, with the contest finishing without a goal after 120 minutes.

Ciaran Gallagher was making his first appearance in the Harps first-team since the opening day of the season, when Derry City were beaten 2-1 at Finn Park.
The Raphoe native made a number of fine saves to ensure it remained scoreless.
And so it went to penalties, where Tommy Dunne’s team came out on top in the second round tie, eventually winning the shoot-out on a 4-2 scoreline.
Stephen Folan, Ryan Connolly, Padraic Cunningham and Keating all scored for Galway and it was they who went through at the expense of Harps who had successful efforts from Tony McNamee and Matthew Crossan.
Harps return to SSE Airtricity League Premier Division action on Friday night when they take on Cork City at Turner’s Cross.
