Video: Shane Doherty’s winning penalty for Letterkenny Rovers in FAI Youth Cup

LETTERKENNY ROVERS required a penalty shoot-out to see off Bonagee United in the first round of the FAI Youth Cup yesterday.

After a 2-2 draw following 120 minutes, only spot kicks could separate the sides.

Eoghan Kelly and Sean Curran had fired Rovers two up only for Evan McCroary and Noah Sanni to draw Bonagee level.

In the shoot-out, goalkeeper Sean Friel saved from McCroary and Matthew Gallagher.

Shane Doherty (pictured above) stepped up to net the winning penalty for Anthony Gorman’s team.
