TWIN TOWNS BOXING CLUB officials were left angered on Friday night when Donna Barr was adjudged to have lost the Irish senior light-flyweight final against Lauren Hogan.
The defending champion, Hogan, was given the verdict, 40-36 36-40 39-37.
It was a result that left them dejected with three of the five judge scoring the fight in Barr’s favour. Unfortunately for Barr, two of those were eliminated by the computer when selecting which three to use.
“Daylight robbery,” was how Shane McHugh, the Twin Towns BC coach, called it.
