MILFORD race walker Brendan Boyce didn’t let the arrival of Storm Desmond impede on his training for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
The Letterkenny AC clubman, who is based in Cork, will compete in the 50k race walk in Rio next summer, having previously competed at London 2012.
Boyce has again secured his spot on the Irish team for next year’s Games and returned to training recently after taking a break following the World Championships in Beijing.
In Fota yesterday, Boyce and his training partners trained on in spite of the arrival of Storm Desmond, which has wrecked havoc across the country.
