THE BIGGEST CHEER yesterday was reserved for Michael Murphy, the Donegal captain who came on during the second half for his 100th appearance.
When the board went up and Naul McCole, the PA announcer, confirmed Murphy’s introduction, the 2,000 attendance gave the Glenswilly man a warm acclaim.
Murphy scored a point in the 1-11 to 0-11 win over Down.
“It’s another game…It’s good to get the result and good to get the win,” said the 26-year-old of his 100th game.

“It was good to have the young lads out there. They’re hungry for spots, they’re skillful and they’re a breath of fresh air.”
