Video: Lagan Harps savour Division One glory

LAGAN HARPS CORKED the champagne at Rabs Park yesterday as a 2-0 win over Kerrykeel 71 Club clinched the Temple Domestic Appliances Division 1 title.

Keith Hegarty’s team are back into the Premier Division again after Mark Hunter’s double sealed a nervous win over Kerrykeel.

It was a dramatic final day of action with three teams – Lagan, Donegal Town and Convoy Arsenal – still in the hunt for honours going into yesterday’s games.

With Donegal Town and Convoy both winning, Hunter’s brace – taking him to a club record of 25 for the season – was all the more important for Lagan.

Donegal Town and Convoy will now play-off for the second automatic promotion spot and the losers will get another chances, too, against the third-from-bottom team from the Premier Division.
