IMPRESSIVE stuff indeed from Mark English at the Olympic Stadium in Stratford.
Amid a star-studded field at the scene of the 2012 Olympic Games in London at the Anniversary Games (pictured by Macdara Ferris) this afternoon, the Letterkenny native finished well to take fourth place in the 800m in the Diamond League.
The UCD student clocked 1:45.49 and was only beaten by Botswana’s Nijel Amos, Olympic champion David Rudisha of Kenya and Poland’s Adam Kszczot, who took gold ahead of third-placed English at last year’s European Track and Field Championships in Zurich, Switerland.
