BEN WALLACE has been making waves at provincial and international level of late, but he was one of the stars yesterday as Raphoe defeated Portadown to continue their fine start to the Ulster Premier League season.
Wallace scored the opening goal in a 2-1 win that moves Rodney Bates’ team up to fifth in the table.
After Stewart Kirkland drew Portadown level, Raphoe won it when Alan Lyttle netted four minutes later to keep the points in Donegal.
Wallace played in the Ulster team that won the Under-18 Inter-provincials last month and played for Ireland’s Under-16s in Holland in July.
