THE DONEGAL LEAGUE held their nerve to reach the semi-finals of the Oscar Traynor Cup this afternoon at the expense of the North Eastern Football League.
The side managed by Brian Dorrian came though 6-5 on penalties after the match finished 1-1 after extra-time. Gary Merritt missed the first penalty for Donegal but then the contest went to sudden death after Stefan McKevitt struck the crossbar.

In the end, Donegal goalkeeper Joe Coll saved from Derek Bowans to set up a last four tie away to Clare.
