FINN Harps were denied what could have been a massive win over Waterford United by a controversial offside flag on Saturday night – now, decide for yourself if Damien McNulty’s header should have stood.
With 17 minutes remaining, McNulty firmly smashed a Tony McNamee free kick past Robert Birdsall to the Town End goal only for the offside flag to cut short the celebrations.
Harps had to settle for a share of the spoils after a scoreless draw.
The disallowed goal can be seen at 7:25 in the video below, captured by Travels With The Blues.
There was further controversy later in the game when Raymond Foy tumbled over on the edge of the box and had a free kick awarded against him. That incident can be seen at 12:09.
