The second half found Cockhill in control of the game and looking to add to their tally. Friel went close again before substitute Adam Duffy’s deflected shot forced a brilliant low save from Chris O’Donnell.
It was 3-0 on 66 minutes when a McClure corner was buried at the back post by Oisin McColgan for his second of the game.
As if proof were needed that it wasn’t Rovers’ day, a McNamee shot took a deflection but clipped the post.
Adam Duffy completed the scoring on 75 minutes with a great strike.
Great defensive work from Keegan Hegarty resulted in a Cockhill throw in their opponent’s half. Duffy picked up possession, advanced and fired in, off the post, from the edge of the box.
