AN Ulster soccer semi-final has become the latest sporting fixture to fall victim to a Covid-19 suspension.
The Ulster Junior Cup semi-final between Kildrum Tigers and Aileach FC, which was scheduled for tomorrow, has been postponed.
The game was due to take place at Station Road Park, but Kildrum Tigers last night announced that all club activities had been suspended temporarily as a predation.
“Activities have been put on hold pending the results of Covid testing of club members/ close contacts and people in our local community who have family members associated with the club,” Kildrum Tigers said.
“The situation will be closely monitored and we hope to resume to normal activities soon.
“Further updates will be posted as soon as they are available.
“We thank our coaches, players and wider community for their co-operation to date. Stay safe everyone.”
The Ulster Football Association will await the results of the pending test before determining a new date for the game.
St Mary’s, Convoy have temporarily suspended all activities within the club as they await the results of Covid-19 tests for club members and people in their community.
