THE Ulster Hearings Committee will hear an appeal relating to the Ardara-Bundoran game in the Donegal senior football championship on Saturday.
Following a protest by Bundoran, the Donegal Competitions Controls Committee (CCC) ordered a replay.
The CCC found that Ardara had breached the regulation relating to substitutes, upholding Bundoran’s argument that the Pearse Park club used six substitutes as opposed to the permitted five.
Ardara appealed the decision to order a replay and their hearing will be held at the weekend.
The indications are that Ardara are willing to pursue the matter to its conclusion. Should they be unsuccessful this weekend, they could take their appeal further to the Disputes Resolution Authority (DRA).
A replay date of Wednesday next, October 6, has been pencilled in by the CCC.
