The Donegal Women’s League’s Under-12 League continued with goals galore on Monday night as Mulroy M made it three wins from three games and Illistrin got their second win in two.
Mulroy M 3 Finn Valley 0
Mulroy M entertained Finn Valley in a very cold Rab’s Park Kerrykeel on Monday.
The game started off slow for both teams but eventually Mulroy M got on the score sheet with a well finished goal by Clodagh Heron.
Abigail Temple Asokah was outstanding in defence for Finn Valley and goalkeeper Ciara Diver did well to deny Mulroy M any more scores in the first half.
Mulroy M got off to a better start in the second half with much of the possession with Clodagh Heron and Isult Ni Mhuchuna adding to the score sheet.
Emily Boyce and Tara Kate Geogogan did well in midfield for Finn Valley with Emma Mc Granaghan and Rachel Friel holding their own in midfield for Mulroy M.
A great team performance by all the players with Ella Mc Bride, Emma Hunter, and Sophie Gallagher defending well for Mulroy M.

A cracking goal in the very last minute from Tara McGettigan sealed all three points for Kilmacrennan on Sunday night in this fantastic contest at Deele College that saw the visitors come from behind twice to steal the win.
Raphoe have returned to the league after several years absence and two thirds of their squad on Sunday night were U10s, but they gave a great account of themselves in a match that hung in the balance until that late, late winner.
With Shania McMonagle and Ella McHugh excellent at the hear of the Raphoe defence and Rocha McCullagh pulling the strings in midfield, the home side had the best of the posession in the first half, and they went in at the break a goal to the good.
That opener came after Rocha McCullagh found Enya McBride in front of goal and she smashed home a shot from close range to give Raphoe the lead just minutes before the break.
It hadn’t all been one-way traffic by any means though and Kilmacrennan were back on level terms within five minutes of the re-start, Sarah McFadden who was excellent throughout for the visitors, nipping behind the Raphoe defence to fire low into the bottom corner and level the game.
Marie Sweeney and Samara McBrearty pressed hard again for Raphoe as they tried to regain the advantage and they did just that when Shania McMonagle’s amazing long-range strike flew into the top of the net to give Raphoe a 2-1 lead with 15 minutes left on the clock.
But Kilmacrennan were the stronger side in the second half and they deservedly tied things up with just six minutes left on the clock when Siobhan Cameron pounced on a mistake to tuck the ball neatly into the bottom corner.
The seconds ticked away after that and it looked as if both sides would have to be content with a share of the spoils, but Tara McGettigan made sure of victory for the visitors when she smashed home a long-range shot right at the death to seal the win for Andy McFadden’s girls.

Maeve Boyle netted a hat-trick for Gweedore Celtic in a smash-and-grab win over Bonagee United at Dry Arch Park on Monday.
Bonagee started well with Hannah Hopkins and Grace Murphy leading the way, but they found Gweedore goalkeeper Rósie Ni Gallchóir a formidable opponent. In defence for the visitors, Caitlin McCombs was another fine outlet for Gweedore, while Sheila Ferry also stood tall.
Against the run of play, with Gweedore’s sole two attacks in the first half, Boyle managed to find the net for a 2-0 lead.
Catherine Hopkins hit the post for Bonagee and Murphy was also denied by the woodwork.
Bonagee pulled one back as Murphy fired home at the back post and Hannah Hopkins scored straight from a corner to make it two-two.
Bonagee looked the only winner at this point but, again on the break, Gweedore caught them out with Boyle netting for her hat-trick.
Illistrin 2 Mulroy S 1
Illistrin made it two wins from two on Monday night as they defeated Mulroy S in a tight affair.
It was Mulroy S who took the lead, courtesy of Olivia Friel.
However, Illistrin came from behind to claim the points and keep up their good start to the season with goals by Aobha Harriman and Leanne McGettigan giving them the win.
Gweedore United 1 Swilly Rovers 0
Maryanne Ward bagged the only goal of the game as Gweedore United overcame Swilly Rovers on Monday night.
