TYRONE MCCULLAGH, the former Illies Golden Gloves featherweight, will be in action for the third time as a professional – and for the first time in Ireland – next month.
McCullagh will feature in the February 6 card at Belfast’s Europa Hotel.
The Derryman, who boxed with Illies during his successful days as an amateur, has won two-out-of-two after turning professional.
The 25-year-old is promoted by Steve Goodwin and will make his first Irish appearance in Belfast.
In November, McCullagh scored a second round stoppage of Hungarian Bence Sipos at York Hall after defeating Tamas Laska, another Hungarian, on his professional debut last July.
McCullagh has trained between Holy Family BC in Belfast and the Inishowen ABC, while he has been working under Buncrana strength and conditioning coach Oisin O’Flaherty.
