TYRONE McCullagh suffered the first defeat of his professional career tonight.
The former Illies Golden Gloves ace lost to Ryan Walsh in a featherweight semi-final in the Global Golden Contract competition.
McCullagh went down on a unanimous decision to drop to 14-1 as a pro.
Walsh – who improves to 26-2-2 – had McCullagh on the canvas twice en route to a points win.
Walsh took two 97-91 and a 96-92 verdict from the judges at ringside in front of a sold-out York Hall.
Walsh will face Jazza Dickens in the final after he defeated Leigh Wood in the other semi.
