TWIN TOWNS BOXER Cathal Gallagher is aiming for Ulster glory tonight in Belfast.
Gallagher squares up to Ciaran Walsh from Silverbridge in the light-middleweight (71kgs) final at the Ulster Novice Intermediate final in the Dockworkers Club.
This week, Gallagher has recorded two wins and will line up on the canvas tonight to meet Walsh.
On Tuesday, Gallagher defeated James Bates from Bishop Kelly BC in his quarter-final.
Gallagher followed that up with an impressive display on Wednesday night as he stopped Evan Kenny of Cootehill in the semi-final. Gallagher took victory by way of a second round TKO.
Twin Towns woman Christina Reid will take home an Ulster title with a walkover win in the light-heavyweight division.
There was disappointment earlier in the week for Twin Towns men Barry Doherty and Kevin Maguire, who were beaten by Jordan Curran (Pegasus) and Christian Dinsmore (Abbey) at welterweight and light-heavyweight.
