TYLER TOLAND has been named in the Republic of Ireland squad for next week’s Women’s Under-17 UEFA Euro First Phase Qualifying Tournament in Cork.
The 16-year-old St Johnston woman has been named in an 18-strong squad by Dave Bell for a ten-day camp that will include games against Faroe Islands, Belarus and Iceland.
[adrotate group=”80″]During the summer, Toland played for the Republic of Ireland U17s in a penalty shoot-out win over Northern Ireland’s Under-19s.
Toland played in the Galway Cup with Kildrum Tigers and turned in some top displays for Sion Swifts in the latter part of the summer.
Toland and Ireland join up in camp this Friday and will take on Faroe Islands next Wednesday, Belarus on Friday-week and Iceland on Monday 31st.
All three games will take place at Turner’s Cross.
