Congratulations to the clubs women’s team on an excellent overall result at last Sunday’s National League final in Tullamore.
Led by double victories from team captain Mary McLoone in the Triple and Long Jump, Kate McGowan, 100m and 400m hurdles, Hannah Campbell, Pole Vault and an exciting victory by the 4 x 100m relay quartet of Eva McMullan, Kate McGowan, Kelly Mc Grory and Mary Mc Loone the team amassed a total of 81pts for an overall fifth place team finish.

Local man Seanie Mc Devitt was an impressive winner on Monday morning last when the Glenties
5k was superbly organised around the Tidy Towns winning village. Karl Griffin finishes third in Brussels
Karl Griffin (pictured below) continued his outstanding season with 3rd place finish at an International meet in Ninove, outside Brussels on Saturday night last. The 20 year old Donegal Town man was timed at 1min 48.13secs.
National Seniors
The National Senior Track and Field c/ships on Saturday and Sunday next in Santry will climax the competitive season for most of the clubs senior athletes. Nine athletes from TC will compete and we wish them well
Juvenile athletes are on a break until the middle of September when the new season commences and when new members will be most welcome at the clubs various training venues. Masters and fit4life groups continue to train and compete in the various road races -locally and nationally
