Our poll closes at noon on Friday.
Jack Doherty (Carndonagh Community School)
Carndonagh Community School won their third Dr Tony O’Neill Senior Cup final last week, retaining the title they won last year.
Carndonagh defeated Midleton CBS at Whitehall. Jack Doherty was the Carndonagh CS match-winner. Eight minutes from the end, Doherty rose to head home from a Mikey Friel cross and send Carn on their way.
Oisin Gallen (Donegal)
Oisin Gallen has been one of the real highlights of the 2019 Allianz League campaign for Donegal. Gallen has been given his head by Donegal manager Declan Bonner and is clearly intent on keeping his place now. Gallen hit four points and was the Man of the Match in Sunday’s 1-20 to 0-10 win over Kildare in Ballyshannon.
Clodagh Ní Shioráin (Coláiste Ailigh)
Coláiste Ailigh were pushed all the way at Ray McSharry Park in last week’s FAI Schools Minor B Girls National Cup semi-final. Coláiste Ailigh booked a place in the final thanks to a 3-2 win after extra time. Clodagh Ní Shioráin was the hero of the hour as she popped up to score the match-winner that finally downed the Mayo side.
Jason Quigley (Golden Boy Promotions)
Jason Quigley made a swift return to action on Saturday evening with a demolition of Mathias Eklund at London’s Copper Box Arena. Just one minute and three seconds into the second round, the referee stepped in to call a halt with Quigley firmly in command of the bout.
Lisa Smyth (Raphoe Ladies Hockey)
Raphoe ladies faced CI Ladies on Saturday knowing a draw would secure the League title. Table-toppers Raphoe were nervous in spells, but a 1-1 draw meant they could finally toast the silverware from a superb campaign for Richard Tinney’s team. Lisa Smyth hit the Raphoe goal that proved crucial to their title win.
