DONEGAL ENJOYED FINE success at the National Community Games finals in Athlone this weekend.
This was the first weekend of finals with the athletics, gymnastics and basketball finals to be held next weekend.

Donegal had a good weekend in the pool.
The Letterkenny Under-13 boys squad won gold and the Ballyshannon Under-13 team also scooped a gold in their section.
Ballyshannon’s Daragh Summerville won gold and Ballyshannon’s Cora Rooney took home a silver.
Three Letterkenny swimmers – Chloe Shiels, Cian Mulligan and Cody Dunnion – won silver medals.
The Letterkenny Under-13s and the Fanad girls Under-15s won gold medals with the Fanad Under-10 girls winning silver, all in indoor soccer.
The Letterkenny Under-12 girls came third, losing out to eventual gold medal winners Sligo.
Lisa McGinley from Glenswilly won a bronze medal in cycling, while Ramelton’s table tennis teams won bronze in the Under-16 and Under-13 girls; as well as taking fourth place in the Under-13 boys.
Ballyshannon were fourth in two sections in draughts – the Under-14 and Under-10 age groups.

The Letterkenny under-10 Boys Indoor Soccer team who were crowned Community Games All-Ireland Champions after defeating Carlow 6-4 in a thrilling game in Athlone. The team managers are Paddy McDaid and Dermott Cassidy.
