UNDERSTRENGTH BUNDORAN put up a decent fight of it, but St Michael’s had enough to see it out for a win.
St Michael’s 2-12 Bundoran 2-7
St Michael’s started superbly and raced into a 1-3 to no score lead.
Their early goal came from Michael Langan. After a move right down the middle, Christy Toye fisted across and Langan applied the finish past Conor Carty.
Colm McFadden arched over a couple of points and late in the first half Michael Gallagher came up from centre back to fire home a goal that put St Michael’s four up, 2-4 to 0-6, at the break.
Andrew Kelly landed six points for the winners, but there was something of a rally in Bundoran and goals by subs Niall Carr and Tommy Govorov brought them closer.
With McFadden and Lee Carr (pictured above) on the mark, St Michael’s took the win.
The absence of several of their starting XV meant Bundoran were badly inhibited.
