St Michael’s have confirmed a new manager for the 2019 season.
Tyrone native Gary O’Neill has been installed at the Bridge, succeeding Michael Kelly, who had two years at the helm.
O’Neill, a brother of former Tyrone All-Ireland winner Stephen O’Neill from the Clann na nGael club, has previously managed his club’s ladies team, while he has taken charge at Craigbane and Strabane Sigersons.
O’Neill’s own playing career was cut short by injury, but he has had a busy time in management and has met with the St Michael’s players as he gears up for the new campaign.
“He is looking forward to be managing a team in Donegal for the first time and is ready for the challenge that Donegal GAA will bring,” St Michael’s said in announcing their new boss.
Danny Ferry will manage the St Michael’s reserves in 2019.
