FIVE ST JOHNSTON players have been selected for North-West Cricket Union winter training squads.
Jack Macbeth has been chosen for the Under-17 panel, while four of the club’s ‘Mini Saints’ have also been selected.
Sam McKnight, Harry Pearson and Sam Macbeth will be in training with the Under-11 squad and Scott Macbeth (pictured above) has been picked for the Under-13s.
Scott Macbeth was captain of the St Johntson under-11s who won the North-West Cup this year and he scored an unbeaten 69 in the final, where St Johnston overcame Strabane.
Meanwhile, the St Johnston senior team have been drawn at home to Glendermott in the opening round of the 2016 Sammy Jeffrey Shield while they have been paired with Drummond, Bready and Fox Lodge in the Fleming Agri and Eric Cook T20 League.
