The Seniors and Reserves got their league campaigns underway in Gaoth Dobhair at the weekend.
The Seniors lost a late lead after Gaoth Dobhair were awarded a penalty but still came away with a point. The Reserves had a good win 3-09 to 2-06. A good start for David McGinley’s reign. The Seniors take on Bundoran at home on Easter Monday, throw-in at 3pm.
The Reserves will take on Bundoran on Saturday with time tbc (see social media).
The Minor Boys Football Div. 1 team had a good win over N. Colmcille on Monday night and they travel to Glenswilly on Sunday with a 12 noon throw-in. The Development team travel to Red Hugh’s on Wednesday evening, throw-in at 5:45pm. They have no game on Sunday.
The U14 leagues begin this Friday (Good Friday) with the Div. 1 team at home to Downings, throw-in at 5:45pm. The Development team (U13) travel to Buncrana for their game, also at 5:45pm.
Congratulations to Anne Nicholls and her team on their fantastic showing once again in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. They won Best Sports Entry and the Overall Award!! Thanks also to all the kids and parents that turned up to make it happen.
The Senior Board Presentation will take place on Saturday, April 9th. Our Junior Men’s footballers and U21 Hurlers have their county medals to collect. Pat Connaghan, who won championships in 1969 and 1972 will become the latest member of our Hall of Fame.
The Donegal U21 footballers will take on All-Ireland Champions Tyrone on Wednesday week (30th) in Celtic Park. Best wishes to Connor O’Donnell, Conor Morrison and Rory Carr. Throw-in is at 8pm.
Our U12 girls football will commence training on Thursday, April 7th between 6pm and 7pm each week. New members are always welcome.
The Friday Evening Hurling & Camogie Academy has now finished indoors and will begin outdoors in O’Donnell Park on Friday, April 1st at 6:30pm.
The Century Cinemas Sunday Morning Football Academy has finished indoors and will start outdoors on Sunday week, April 3rd at 11am. Why not bring a friend to our academies? New members welcome to both academies from all over Letterkenny.
