Saint Eunans College u15 1/2 progressed to the Danske Bank Treanor Cup final thanks to a big win this afternoon.
St Eunan’s College 3-13 St Ronan’s, Lurgan 0-8
The Sentry Hill men dispatched St.Ronans Lurgan on a scoreline of 3-13 to 0-8. Kelan Collier, and Shane Monaghan stared for Eunans with 3-10 between them.
Callum Friel, Jack Gallagher and Jack Alcorn added to the tally to complete a good performance.
When Gallagher opened the scoring after four minutess it was one way traffic as Eunan’s began to get on top.
After a couple of missed chances, Monaghan got his first goal and followed by three more points before Monaghan hit the back on the net again.
Collier tapped over to leave nine points between the side at the interval.
A strong opening 10 minutes in the second half left ‘Eunan’s with one foot in the final.
After long spells of possession they added to there advantage with Monaghan (0-3) Collier, Jack Alcorn and Callum Friel (0-1) to give them that comfort they wanted.
The game was over when Collier got the ball on the 21, took on his man and rattled the net to leave the college men in the final.
They will meet either St. Pius Derry or St. Louis Ballymena on Thursday.
