ST EUNAN’S COLLEGE qualified for the semi-finals of the Ulster Colleges Loch an Uir competition after defeating Donaghmore this afternoon.
St Eunan’s College, Letterkenny 4-8 St Joseph’s, Donaghmore 1-4
Eunan’s were too strong in today’s quarter-final of the Under-14-and-a-half competition.
The newly promoted St. Joseph’s finally bowed out in the quarter Final against a stronger St. Eunan’s team.
Two goals by Emmet O’ Boyle and another by Shane Monaghan gave St. Eunan’s a good platform in the first half and points by Keelan Collier and Jack Alcorn gave the Sentry Hill boys a lead of 3-5 to 0-1.
[adrotate group=”59″]What would be of concern to St Eunan’s would be the 13 wides in the opening half.
In the second half the Tyrone team fought back and played some great attacking football but a goal by Keelan Collier sealed the victory.
In the other quarter-final St. Malachy’s, Castlewellan defeated Keady Grammar by 4-12 to 2-7.
[adrotate group=”76″]St. Malachy’s appear to be a very strong team having topped their group with a very high scoring rate.
It promises to be a close encounter but St. Eunan’s have also played very well and will look forward to the semi-final.
