World U20 silver medallist Sommer Lecky began her 2019 season by winning gold at an IFAM indoor meeting in Ghent.
Finn Valley AC’s Lecky cleared the bar at 1.84 metres to take the gold in Belgium.
Belgium’s Noor Vidts and Hanne Van Hessche were second and third respectively.
Lecky, coached by Niall Wilkinson, is aiming to build on a superb 2018, when she won silver at the World U20s in Finland. Last year, Lecky also competed in the Commonwealth Games, where she finished 10th in Australia.
Lecky was recently named as the 2018 Donegal Sports Star of the Year.
