REIGNING champions Setanta eased their way into the defence of their Donegal SHC title.
Setanta saw off old foes Burt 3-14 to 1-8 at The Cross today.
Gerard Gilmore top-scored with 2-2 while Josh Cronnolly also netted for the holders.
Declan Coulter popped five points while Marc Devine, Danny Cullen and Cronnolly were also among the score-getters.
Buncrana made it two wins from two in the Donegal SHC as they defeated last year’s finalists St Eunan’s 3-10 to 1-12 on Friday night.
PJ McCarron scored 2-1 and sub Ronan Walsh bagged the other goal as the Inishowen outfit showed that an opening day victory over Burt was no fluke.
Buncrana were 2-7 to 0-4 in front at half-time.
Sean McVeigh helped himself to 1-3 for St Eunan’s, but it wasn’t enough for the Cathedral Town side.
Jack O’Loughlin continues to impress as he scored five points on another fine evening as Buncrana won successive senior hurling championship games for the first time.
