SHAY GIVEN IS SET TO be fit for the Republic of Ireland’s Euro 2016 play-off against Bosnia.
Given came off just before half-time in the 1-0 win over World Champions Germany earlier this month.
The 39-year-old sustained a twisted knee and missed the subsequent 2-1 loss to Poland in Warsaw.
While there had been fears that Given would miss the play-off, Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has said that the Liffordman is likely to return to their squad for tomorrow’s game against Watford.
“Shay Given has also had a couple of sessions and will most likely be available too,” Stoke City confirmed on Twitter.
In a further boost for Ireland, Jonathan Walters has overcome a groin strain and is close to a recall while Marc Wilson has been confirmed as fit again.
