LETTERKENNY NATIVE Shaun Patton made his first appearance of the season as Derry City won 2-0 tonight at St Patrick’s Athletic.
The win rounds off a decent season for the Brandywell outfit, who finish their SSE Airtricity League Premier Division campaign in third and will have Europa League football to look forward to in 2017.
[adrotate group=”38″]Rory Patterson scored both goals tonight in Inchicore as a dominant Derry performance meant that Patton was seldom tested, although he did get an early let-off when a fumbled cross fell to Sean Hoare, who couldn’t take advantage.
Barry McNamee from Ramelton was part of the City team.
