DONEGAL’S SHAUN MCSHANE fights for the vacant Scottish Area super-lightweight title next month in Motherwell.
The 35-year-old former Dungloe ABC puncher will meet Eddie Doyle at the Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility with the Scottish belt up for grabs.
Professional late-comer McShane, who had his pro debut just two years ago, is 3-2-1 from his six bouts to date.
The most recent of those was in November when he defeated Tyrone native Ben Mulligan in Ayr.
McShane was a talented amateur with the Dungloe club, but became frustrated with the way his career was heading.
He trains under Jimmy Reilly at the Kelvin Amateur club and is managed by Paul Graham of Prospect.
McShane’s bout with Doyle will be a ten-rounder with Doyle, who has a record of 16-3-0.
