SHAUN MCSHANE RETURNED to winning ways last night in Scotland.
The Lettermacaward man defeated Youssef Al Hamidi at the Grangemouth Sports Complex.
The 35-year-old former Dungloe ABC orthodox took a 39-37 points win against journey man Al Hamidi to move to 4-3-1 as a pro.
The Syrian, who had 106 previous wins, including a win over Anthony Crolla, now the WBA world lightweight champion, in 2008, proved a slippery customer for McShane, but the Donegal man did the business.
[adrotate group=”57″]“He’s a horrible guy to fight,” he told Donegal Sport Hub.
“I got a small cut on my eye from a head clash. He kind of dived in with the head.
“There was serious heat in the ring. I wasn’t really happy with my performance, but he’s one of those guys no-one would look good against.
[adrotate group=”55″]“I did what I had to do and a win’s a win.”
Doyle could be back in action on June 25th again and will take on Eddie Doyle on October 15th for a Scottish super lightweight title rematch after Doyle’s win in March.
