KILLYBEGS NATIVE Shaun Kelly and his Limerick FC side are tonight celebrating winning the SSE Airtricity League First Division.
This evening, the Shannonsiders confirmed their passage back to the top flight at the first attempt with a 3-2 win at UCD.

UCD did level again when Max Kouogun on target but Kelly set up O’Connor to win it on 76 minutes. Georgie Kelly from Burt was a last minutes substitute for UCD.
[adrotate group=”76″]It’s an impressive feat from the side managed by Martin Russell, who have not lost all season in the league and still have six games to play. Limerick also have an EA Sports final to look forward to next month.
Kelly was a goalscorer last November in a 1-0 Limerick win over Finn Harps in the promotion-relegation play-off first leg win over Finn Harps. However, Ollie Horgan’s side won 2-0 in the return leg in Ballybofey with Michael Funston and BJ Banda on the mark to seal a 2-1 aggregate success.
