SHANE MCGINTY WAS ON the mark again today as Institute defeated Harland Wolff Welders 2-0 at The Riverside Stadium.
McGinty netted a hat-trick last weekend in their 5-2 Intermediate Cup win over Bangor and the St Johnston man continued his good form in Drumahoe this afternoon.
McGinty opened the scoring for the Kevin Deery-managed team eight minutes into the second half when, after good work from Mark Scoltock, Jamie McIntyre’s cross found McGinty, who made no mistake.
Former Finn Harps and Killea FC player Sean Roddy scored the second six minutes from the end when his free kick deflected to the net.
