SHANE DUFFY helped fire Brighton & Hove Albion to the top of the Sky Bet Championship after a win over his former club Blackburn Rovers tonight.
Duffy headed in the opening goal of the game in a 3-2 win for the Seagulls that puts them to the summit.
Duffy signed for Brighton from Blackburn in August and returned to Ewood Park to haunt his old employers.
Derry native Duffy, whose father Brian and mother Siobhan are from Donegal, connected with Oliver Norwood’s corner in the 17th minute to give his side the lead.
Dale Stephens made it 2-0 on the hour and Glenn Murray added a third. Sam Gallagher’s brace made a game of it, but Brighton continued their good form.
