BRENDAN O’Donnell has finished seventh in the boy’s hammer throw final at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Tbilisi.
The 15-year-old St Eunan’s College student, who competes for Lifford AC, threw 59.49 metres.
Two weeks ago, O’Donnell won a silver medal at the Schools Track and Field International in Scotland when he threw 63.78 metres.
O’Donnell is one of four Donegal atheltes on the Irish track and field team competing in Georgia.
Tomorrow, Aaron McGlynn goes in the boy’s 800m final.
On Tuesday, the Glenfin native came throgh his heat in a time of 1:57.77, just behind Poland’s Szymon Zieba, who clocked 1:57.67.
