GLENGAD UNITED HIT FOUR second-half goals to continue their superb start to the new Jackie Crossan Premier Division season.

Paddy McDermott hit a brace and Seamus Doherty and Matthew Byrne were also on target for Shane Byrne’s side (pictured above) as they took the spoils in the top-of-the-table clash in Muff.
Glengad started with a chance for Nigel McMonagle, who shot over in the fifth minute.
John McDaid had a similar result when he tried his luck while Sean McCole was just wide for Brian Bell’s hosts.
On 22 minutes Matthew Byrne went close with a free kick, but his 25-yard effort was just wide, while Christy McLaughlin had a free saved by Jordan McLaughlin.
On the stroke of half-time, Byrne superbly beat two challenges, but a piledrive cleared the crossbar.
Six minutes into the second half, Glengad broke the deadlock. Barry McColgan upended Paddy McDermott in the box. Terence Moyne pointed to the spot and McDermott stepped up to fire in the penalty.
Two minutes later, QPS were reduced to ten men when Oisin McCool was sent off for petulantly throwing the ball at Christy McLaughlin’s face.
Steohen McLaughlin was denied from a free before the visitors doubled the lead in the 66th minute, as McDermott and Christy McLaughlin combined to set up Seamus Doherty for a goal.
It was three-nil four minutes later when Byrne fired in a 30-yard screamer that flew in off the inside of the post.
Seven minutes from time, they added a fourth. McDermott was picked out after a brilliant run by Terence Doherty. McDermott continued the run and shot home in style to seal another emphatic win for the reigning champions.
