SAM Todd set UCD on their way to a big win in the League of Ireland First Division tonight.
Tood netted the first goal as the Students hammered Athlone Town 6-0 at the UCD Bowl.
Todd’s 24th minute goal paved the way with his header fumbled by goalkeeper Michael Schlingermann.
The Carndonagh man moved to UCD on a scholarship last December.
Donegal Town’s Jack Keaney was also in the UCD starting line-up while Letterkenny native Michael Gallagher was among the substitutes and played the last 17 minutes.
Colm Whelan added a hat-trick with Liam Kerrigan and Adam Lennon also on target.
After 19 games, UCD are in one of the play-off spots.
